Deputy high commissioner of India to UK
H.E. Ambassador Mr. Dinesh K. Patnaik is the deputy high commissioner of India to UK since Sep 2016. Ambassador Patnaik is career diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service with experience of over 25 years in a variety of interesting and challenging assignments.
He joined prestigious Indian Foreign Service in 1990 and has served as India`s ambassador to Vienna, Cambodia and Kingdom of Morocco. He headed the commercial division for Indian Embassy in China and was the first secretary & head of chancery in Indian Embassy in Dhaka. He has also played various other diplomatic roles in Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi that involved relations with Western Europe, African countries and UN.
Ambassador Patnaik holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kolkata, in addition to Master’s degree in Advanced International Studies from the University of Vienna and Certificate in International Studies from the Diplomatic Academy, Vienna.
